Comprehensive Eye Exams and Eye Care in New Westminster

EYE CARE IS SELF CARE

Why is it important to get an eye exam?

At our practice, we believe that your eyes are the windows to your general health and you deserve the best care. Routine eye exams are crucial because early signs of conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension), and multiple sclerosis can often be detected first in the eyes. We offer top-quality eye exams and services to help you maintain optimal eye health.

As we age, the risk of developing eye diseases and conditions increases potentially impacting our vision and ocular health. This includes cataract, glaucoma and age related macular degeneration.  Early detection and treatment of these conditions are vital to protect and maintain your vision.

When should I get an eye exam?

Regular eye exams are highly recommended as they serve as an effective defense mechanism.  The Canadian Association of Optometrists advises that adults between the ages of 19-64 should have an eye exam every one to two years, while seniors aged 65 and older should receive an eye exam annually. However, your eye doctor may recommend more frequent exams based on your individual condition.

Moreover, an eye exam ensures that your vision prescriptions are up to date, reducing eye strain and enabling you to lead a fulfilling life. Prioritize your eye health and schedule a comprehensive eye exam with us today.
